The bleached white weather station and slopes of Mont Ventoux are truly iconic and with its three different ascents it is a challenging day on the bike. The foothills of Ventoux also provide additional rich riding with quite possible the Nesque Gorges from Sault one of the best rides in the world.
Sandwiched between Chalet Reynard and the summit of Mont Ventoux is also the memorial to Tommy Simpson who sadly died on the climb while challenging for the Tour de France yellow jersey in 1967.
